Artist Residency
The Artist Residency at Bluebasket Press provides uninterrupted studio time in our relief and risograph printmaking studio in San Bernardino, California. Our residency program runs in one-week sessions where one artist is invited to use the studio and produce work during their stay, materials provided! Our shop is equipped with an SF 5130 risograph and an Ettan relief press, all ink, paper, tools, and binding equipment are included during the residency.
This program is for artists of all backgrounds and at any stage in their career. Bluebasket Press is dedicated to uplifting underrepresented voices in print and providing space for artists to research, create, and collaborate in our studio. No prior printmaking experience is necessary for the one-week residencies. Please read more here about the tools in our shop.
To apply for the one-week residency, please fill out the form and select which session you would prefer for your residency. The residency fees provide uninterrupted studio time during our operational hours for the session, Monday - Sunday, 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM. Each residency session is $250, no application fee is required. A $100 non-refundable deposit will be required upon acceptance to the residency session. Please email us at bluebasketpress@gmail.com if you have any questions!
*A few notes about the application
Submission of the one-week artist residency application does not guarantee your place.
You must complete the entire residency application in order for your work to be considered.
This is a working printmaking studio and art book/supply store. Frankie & Josh will be working in the studio, but the presses and work spaces are all for your use! Customers may come in to look through the shelves or ask questions about printing. We will do our best to keep the noise down and the space open for your use.
